How to write Professional CV




Follow below guidelines while preparing your CV:

1. Title

Provide Your Name  & Address with Email ID & Contact Phone.

2. Objective:

This part is very important as it emphasizes your Career Objective. Mention clearly about your Objective in joining new company and how your previous experience helps the organization.

3.Professional Experience:

Provide Current working Company, Role, Location.
Provide Bullet points regarding your professional experience.

Note: 
This may include some of your technical skills, end to end working experience, communication skills, interpersonal skills, leadership skills, Production Environment experiences, Agile experiences, etc.

4. Technical Skills:

As its name says, provide your technical skills which are more relevant to the position which you applied for.

Suppose your applying for JAVA Lead, include all related to Java technologies such Spring, Struts, hibernate etc.

Please don't include skills like : 

JAVA, .net, SAP when you are applying for JAVA position.

Interviewer will look for the candidates who are having relevant experience for the positions and ofcourse it varies depending on the criticality, No of applicants and Technology. But I suggest to include skills relevant to the position. 

5. Certifications:

Provide certification details if any.

5. Educational Background:

Provide your recent graduation details which includes the University Degree name. Optionally we can provide Percentage/GPA score.

6. Project Experience:

Provide your Project details starting from Recent Project.
Each Project should consists of below things:

Project Name:
Client:
Location[Optional]:
Project Duration: 
[ex: May-2011 to July-2013]
Team Size: 
Role: 
Description: 
Provide a Brief Description of the project which consists of lines between 5-10. Don't make description look like a story :). Project Description should actually tells about the project domain, Application basic functionality including the External systems involved.
Responsibilities:
List of day to day activities which you perform.
Clearly mention about the tasks which you perform eventhough they are smaller but you must be doing it regularly. Below are some examples candidates will not update them in tasks list.
ex: Preparing/Configuring Installation Scripts, Monitoring Activites, Troubleshooting Activities, Consolidating developing/execution activities.
The above will give Interviewer a clear snapshot of your project background.
Technologies used: Provide the technologies used in the project.

Include as many project as required. but limit them to number of pages. Limit the number of pages between 2-5. 

7. Include references if any.
